A native Londoner, Coach Alex decided in 2014 to emulate his favorite Sting song and moved to New York to pursue his career in advertising. That same year, he made the foolish mistake of trying to run the New York marathon having trained for only eight weeks. Never again.

But rather than dissuade him from ever wanting to run again, that failure had the countereffect of rekindling his love for the sport.

In 2017, he started working with John Henwood and has never looked back. A handful of sub 3-hour marathons, sub 75-minute half marathons and an RRCA level 1 certification later, Alex loves nothing more than spreading the running gospel to those that will listen (and run). If he’s not running, he’ll either be watching his beloved Arsenal or playing the piano. But most likely he’s running.
