Prior to training with John, my fastest 10k time was 42:19 at the Queens 10km. My new PR, which I set a few weeks ago in a track time trial in now 36:12, 6mins and 7secs faster and a minute per mile faster. I’m confident that I am in the right track to break 3 hours for a Marathon. Being on the Henwood’s Hounds Team has completely changed my running performance trajectory as well as my perspective on the sport. Coach John has provided me invaluable guidance, encouragement, and perhaps most of all, discipline and accountability, pushing me well beyond my perceived limits. The team runs, in particularly the Sunday long runs, are incredible – they are something I look forward to every week. Getting a group of like-minded individuals working together to get the best of of each other has taught me that running truly is a team sport – it also helps when you are able to make great friends along the way.
